THE MAN WEARING A MONKEY SUIT????

Gudday all……..contextual markers in the shape of clothing is the topic for today. My “monkey suit” is actually a very nicely Hong Kong tailored black pin striped business suit……which serves as my contextual marker for getting in the mood, the mode, assuming my identity as a lawyer specialising in asset protection structures……..which is one of the things I do in my spare time when I am not teaching, writing or being a Human Excellence teacher………and likewise I choose not to dress in my lawyers clothes when I am teaching Human excellence………on those days it is open necked shirts and casual jackets and pants……..or on the Exceptional Life Exceptional Golf days it is the uniform of ELEG colours in golf attire.

“Yeah , yeah, shane and I wear pyjamas to go to bed, so what?”…………exactly the point I say. Your pyjamas are part of your contextual clothing markers for the time of the day when you are about to enter into the ritual of “sleeping”.

So, lets go one level up with our processing………don’t you have a favourite piece of clothing?????…….a favourite old t-shirt????…..or sloppy joe sweatshirt????……or busted up old pair of ugg boots????…….or whatever it is for you that you really, really like to wear, and probably always misses out on the rag bag cleanup that other old clothes may be subject to? For example……..I went to the State Trials in Rugby League in the last few years of High School and I still have that old rugby t-shirt in a section of my cupboard, and every time I come across it, or see it, I feel incredibly proud of that achievement………then there is this other t-shirt that I have kept that I wore to the birth of each of my 3 kids, that still has a fine blood spattering across its’ front from where I cut the umbilical cords, and every time I come across it, or see it, I feel all gooey and fuzzy and lovey dovey about my kids and family……..so what is it for you?????

Now, let’s put this to Human Excellence use………Please give this a go……. when you are stressed, or feeling down, or any feeling that is non-positive and pulling you backwards………get into your favourite piece of clothing……your “clothing contextual marker for feel good” and take yourself in your mind back through all of the fun times you have had in that piece of clothing that sets it apart from the rest as being special to you……..please close your eyes and do it with all of your senses………a Full Sensory Visualisation Experience………see it, taste it, smell it (should be easy if the piece of clothing is a pair of old shoes!!!!) feel it, hear it, think about it………using all of your senses…….(see chapter 6 of “The 7 Simple Secrets to Success” for a big bright example of this in practice for you achieving success at whatever you want)………and most of all…… enjoy it!!!!!…….. and watch as those stressful/depressful/”stuff”-ful feelings melt away into feeling good.

Listen with all of your sense while you enjoy bathing in your “clothing feel good contextual marker”, & watch your life improve by choosing the way you want to think……how could you not………you are you after all!!!!

ENJOY!!!!
